古くは時報は現在時刻を知らせる音として鐘や大砲が用いられていたが、NTTの時報も然り、現在ではその役目が終わりつつある。現在ではデジタル放送によって起こる遅延のため、テレビからも時報はなくなった。能動的な時間確認の方法として、各々の道具を持つようになったため、人々は知りたいときに時間を確認するようになった。年々、受動的に時間を体感する感覚は薄くなってきている。円形に配置されたスピーカーから順に流れる現在を聞くためのインスタレーション。時間は意識するときに生じる。

Nowadays, due to the delay caused by digital broadcasting, there is no time signal on TV. As an active method of checking time, people now have their own tools, so people check the time when they want to know. Year after year, the feeling of passively experiencing time is getting weaker.
