A stereoscopic work using random dot stereogram. Ancient iconographic images carved into stone would appear three-dimensionally from sand patterns on the surface of granite stone when viewing the image stereoscopically (the intersection method). The original images carved into stones have roughness and contains the thin layer of time. In this work, stereoscopic vision is a method to see through the past and to experience the touch sensation of rubbing the surface with eyes like frottage to obtain the image and texture with hand.
